Keith Wishart
After a career in technology and consulting spanning 30 years I now work with a range of organisations helping them address their digital transformation challenges. Formerly a partner in IBM Consulting I am passionate about using data and technology to solve complex business, environment and societal challenges and have specialised in the digitisation of industrial operations and processes, infrastructure, energy and utilities, environment, engineering and land and property.
I have led complex first-of-a-kind engagements as well as large-scale global delivery working closely with blue-chip clients both UK and global. My technical background is in Digital Asset Management, Supply Chain Operations, Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Data and Geospatial Analytics. I focus on embedding sustainable innovation, business strategy and transformation in asset-intensive industries particularly where there is a high degree of supply chain collaboration across a partner ecosystem to deliver value.
My career has equipped me with deep experience across a wide range of business functions notably: strategy, transformation & change; innovation & business development; programme and project management; operations and service delivery; and most importantly, leadership and people development.
I started my career as a research scientist with a PhD in AI and have seen enormous transformation in computing since I wrote my first code in the 1980s. But I have also learned what works, what endures and what can mislead.
As someone who began their career as research scientist and academic and is currently a Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor of Engineering at Cranfield University I can bridge the gap between the academic and business worlds.
Above all I love working with and developing people and helping them develop their careers. This is at the heart of the ethos of Velion. Business and technology is for and about people, not the other way round.
