A Managing Director and Head of Legal for the Investor Services businesses at Citi. He joined Citi’s Hong Kong office in 2005 and has served in a variety of in-house Legal roles, including Banking, Capital Markets & Advisory (BCMA), Treasury & Trade Solutions (TTS), Citi Commercial Bank (CCB), Securities Services and Issuer Services. In 2022, Jacob stepped into a newly created global role covering Digital Assets for TTS, and in 2023 Jacob was promoted to his current role as the Global Head of Legal for Investor Services. Jacob is active in Pro Bono volunteer work, he is a frequent speaker, and he also leads the Global Legal Mentoring Program for the 1,700 members of Citi’s legal department. Jacob is a graduate of UC Berkeley School of Law and received his M.B.A. from Pepperdine University, both in his home state of California. He is a member of the New York, Washington, D.C. and Massachusetts Bars and is also Hong Kong qualified. Jacob lives with his husband, Asan, and their 11-year-old daughter, Jamie. Jacob and his family relocated to Citi’s London office in 2024 for his new global role.
