Michael is a seasoned global business leader and board member with over 40 years of experience in strategy, governance, risk management, financial control, and international operations. As a former senior partner and business leader at EY, Merrill Lynch, BearingPoint, and Arthur Andersen, he developed deep expertise in risk management, compliance, governance, and financial control. Michael serves as an Independent Director and Audit Committee Chairman at both Coastal Financial Corporation, a publicly traded community and BaaS / FinTech bank, and United Texas Bank, an institution with domestic and international operations. Both banks are regulated by Federal and state agencies. He has extensive experience with a wide range of U.S. and international regulators. He served as the restructuring-era Chief Compliance Officer at Genesis, a digital asset financial services firm.
